We respect your privacy and need for control of personally identifiable information shared with us. We are committed to handling your information responsibly.

We collect information that is voluntarily given and is visible to all members. This information includes names and email addresses. The information is collected through an online form, and is used to personalize content, maintain records, distribute communications, and help connect members to each other.

This website uses plug-in components that route data that is shared on or posted to the site through servers that are based in the US. All information is stored in a secure database, and access is restricted to members of the BC Knowledge Translation Community of Practice (BC KT CoP). Regular email communications to members who opt-in are made by the BC KT CoP Leadership Committee only and use a plug-in for which data is routed through servers in Canada only. This information will be used in accordance with applicable Canadian laws, including the Criminal Code of Canada, the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Canadian Privacy Act, and the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation.

We will not sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to other companies. We will not share your personal information with a third party company without your permission.

You may request that your information be deleted at any time. Please direct your request to the BC KT CoP Communications Leader to have your personal information deleted, bcktcop@gmail.com.

To correct or update membership information provided to the BC KT CoP, please edit this information on your membership profile.

Terms of Use

The BC Knowledge Translation Community of Practice (BC KT CoP) website consists of the material provided under the bcktcop.ca domain http://www.bcktcop.ca (the “Site”).

Logo Guidelines

The BC Knowledge Translation Community of Practice (BC KT CoP) logo may be used by anyone, following the terms of use of the logo.

When using the logo, the logo is to be used in its current preparation and is not to be cropped or altered in any way, including but not limited to changing the colour scheme, deleting or adding words.

The logo symbols/images may not be separated from the logo words.

The colour version (preferred) or the black and white version may be used on light backgrounds. The reverse version may be used on dark backgrounds.

The BC KT CoP logo is to be used at a height no smaller than 1.5” and is to be re-sized proportionally.

A reasonable clearance between the BC KT CoP logo and its elements, and any other design features, must be maintained.

The logo may not be used in a manner that would disparage the BC KT CoP or its activities or services.

The BC KT CoP reserves the right in their sole discretion to terminate or modify permission to display the logo, and may request that third parties modify or delete any use of the logo that, in the sole judgment of the BC KT CoP, does not comply with these guidelines or might otherwise impair the BC KT CoP’s rights in the logo.
